As the first and only company worldwide LivinGlobe develops and produces high resolution dome films staged and shot for real. Thus, LivinGlobe has created a new genre in the history of film.
These films are unique in that they are not computer animation but really shot films, which are enhanced by the diverse possibilities of digital post production. With up-to-the-minute technology we create 360° sensory experiences, which visually and acoustically absorb the spectator and plunge him into the projected world.
For thousands of years mankind has been looking for the perfect shape – the globe is that shape. Therefore it is not surprising that at the beginning of the 20th century, shortly after pictures began to move, the development of a self-supporting dome for projections began. Planetariums use the impressive experience of space and the disappearance of the images’ borders, in order to project the phenomena of astrophysics so seamlessly into a dome that the audience feels that they are within the actual world of the stars and that they fly to distant planets and Galaxies.
LivinGlobe has further advanced this technology which was originally only used in planetariums, and has established the dome films as a unique film genre.
